George received his PhD at UC Davis in Molecular, Cellular and Integrative Physiology. He then became a lecturer and a post-doctoral researcher at Cal State University San Marcos. In 2016, George came to Cal State LA as an assistant professor at the School of Kinesiology and Nutritional Science. In 2018, he established the Swim Performance Lab and serves as its director. In this role, George initiated swim specific research at Cal State LA, allowing him to align his enthusiasm for training with his dedication to sound scientific research in the sport of swimming.
George has published several scientific papers about the complex interplay between various factors i.e. hypoxia, carbon monoxide and impaired gas exchange, and their affect on oxygen transport and aerobic capacity.
